Cleaning hearing aids

If you have an open fit hearing aid (like our LOF) then you will find that one of the brands of floss which comes in short strands and has a tip, is really good for cleaning the tube that goes into the ear.

Keep it in the drying jar at night to minimise moisture problems.  You can order that from us.

Other tips  – what not to do:  A hearing aid is a very small and fragile  high tech computer

Don’t put it in the end of the hose pipe, turn the hose on full and shoot it into a bucket.

Don’t immerse it in bubble bath – they don’t need exfoliating

Don’t wear it surfing or bungee jumping – would you take your laptop computer surfing?

And don’t ever give it to the dog to clean.

  1. You forgot some:
“don’t attempt to clean it with a full sized vacuum cleaner”
“don’t grab a twig out of the garden and attempt to clean wax out with it”
“leaving it on the washing machine doesn’t mean someone else will clean it for you” (true story, that one).
